I hosted a Soup Swap on Sunday- and it was great fun!! I brought Sausage and Vegetable soup, meant to be served with cheese tortellini (recipe coming soon!). I stocked my freezer with 2 quarts of Corn & Edamame Chowder, 2 quarts white chicken chili, and 2 quarts of Italian wedding soup .
I mailed out invitations a few weeks before the Swap and I found them here as free printables. So cute- just print, cut, and assemble! These are meant as canning party invites, but I thought they were perfect for the Soup Swap and would also be really cute for a dinner party. I also used this same website for my soup labels and recipe cards.
The basis of Soup Swap is just like a cookie swap. You bring a set amount of frozen soup, and you go home with that same amount of different soups. There are some awards for first soup chosen, last but not least, most colorful soup, etc. I used spatulas as the awards, meant more as a trophy of sorts.
Hosting a Soup Swap is soup-er easy and I’m sure I’ll have another one in a few months when my soup inventory gets low! There is a tab at the top of this page with more details if you want to host your own. If you do- invite me!!! I’d love to come and swap.
